Nutrition expert Sally Norton is our interview guest today in Episode 1412 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.”
Sally Norton from SallyKNorton.com has spent over 3 decades promoting health from many different vantage points. She has worked for many years as a health consultant and working to deliver programs to inner cities and rural areas, focussing on buying healthy meats from local grass-based farms. Sally left her academic career in 2010 due to severe brain and body fatigue and bleeding fibroids. A hysterectomy just seemed to make things worse. Three more years of struggling, research, and self-experimentation led to a huge personal health breakthrough and recovery from not only the fatigue and sleep disorder but also from back problems, thyroid problems, arthritis, muscle pains — and major improvements in her feet and frail skin.
She achieved all this by cutting kiwi, sweet potatoes, and spinach OUT of her diet! Wow.
Listen in as Jimmy and Sally talk about who can benefit by avoiding oxalate, why weight loss surgery and weight loss drugs increase oxalate problem, why keto diets can help and why keto can make it worse (depending on the use or not of nuts, nut flours, nut milks and spinach and Swiss chard), why Vitamin C could be a problem, why this problem can be hard to spot, lectins and other plant toxins, and much more.
