CrossFit instructors, gym owners, and food bloggers Brandon and Megan Keatley are our guests today in Episode 710 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.”
We head down to the deep South today in Jimmy Moore's home state of South Carolina to speak with a dynamic husband-wife duo in the Paleo community you may not have heard much about before. They are Brandon and Megan Keatley from the "Health-Bent Paleo Recipes" blog and living Paleo since 2007 spreading the word in the Columbia, South Carolina area. They're opening a brand new CrossFit gym this summer and they recently released their debut book on Mark Sisson's Primal Blueprint Publishing called Primal Cravings: Your favorite foods made Paleo. Yes, that's a picture of a hamburger on the front cover! Listen in as Jimmy speaks with his fellow Southerners Brandon and Megan about how much they abhor Paleo perfectionism, why they have starch in many of their recipes (as well as many very low-carb recipes), how they wanted to convey healthy "all-American" comfort foods, and so much more.
