Australian orthopedic surgeon and nutritional health lecturer Dr. Gary Fettke is featured in this lecture from the 2013 Low Carb Down Under Seminar Series today in Episode 762 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.”
Today is the final day of our special week of lectures from the 2013 Low Carb Down Under Seminar Series. We hope you've enjoyed this exclusive access to the audio of these fabulous presentations about the benefits of low-carb, high-fat diets. Jimmy and his wife Christine are heading back there again later this year (details to come in a few months!) as well as in New Zealand. A very special THANK YOU to Dr. Rod Tayler (listen to Jimmy's interview with him in Episode 578) for granting permission to air all of these talks for "The Livin' La Vida Low-Carb Show" podcast listeners. It's kinda sad that we've aired them all now, but something tells me we haven't heard the last from the LCHF fans in the land of Oz.
EPISODE 758: Professor Grant Schofield and Christine Cronau
Today's featured lecture is with Dr. Gary Fettke addressing the topic "The Flawed Science of Nutrition—Convenience, Politics and Dollars." Dr. Fettke is an Orthopedic Surgeon and Senior Lecturer from the University of Tasmania and he has had a longstanding interest in the preventative aspects of health, particularly prior to operating on patients. He is concerned that as we get older the health systems will be under significant stress from the overwhelming financial and health burden and believes that losing weight plays a significant role in the day-to-day management of his patients. Here's the video footage of this presentation from the 2013 Low-Carb Down Under Seminar Series:
