Neuroscientist and ketogenic diet researcher Dr. Charles Mobbs is our interview guest today in a series of exclusive podcasts featuring the various experts from Jimmy Moore's new book Keto Clarity in Episode 849 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.”
We're so pleased to be bringing you these exclusive interviews with most of the 22 featured experts featured in Jimmy's upcoming August 5, 2014 book release Keto Clarity: Your Definitive Guide to the Benefits of a Low-Carb, High-Fat Diet. These are BRAND NEW INTERVIEWS with the world's best experts on the subject of low-carb, moderate protein, high-fat diets and we want you to get to know who they are in these informal half-hour conversations on a subject that is near and dear to each of their hearts. Jimmy's coauthor Dr. Eric Westman will be on the show next Tuesday when the book releases where they share more about why this book about all the health benefits of ketosis is needed now more than ever before. Thank you for listening!
Today's Keto Clarity expert interview is with a professor of neuroscience, endocrinology, and geriatrics named Dr. Charles Mobbs from Mount Sinai School of Medicine's Aging & Metabolism Lab whose research focuses on neuroendocrine and metabolic mechanisms of aging and age-related diseases. He first came to Jimmy's attention in 2011 when he published research on mice showing diabetic kidney damage could be reversed with a ketogenic diet (listen to Jimmy and Dr. Mobbs discuss this research in Episode 469). So when it was time to write Keto Clarity, Dr. Mobbs was a no-brainer to be included to talk about ketogenic diets. Listen in to hear Jimmy and Dr. Mobbs give insights on ketosis and health. And keep listening to "The Livin' La Vida Low-Carb Show" podcast in the coming weeks for more fresh, new interviews with the Keto Clarity experts.
